Why Modulus Exists

Modulus Autocare was created from frustration with the direction of the detailing industry. As a detailer, it became clear that too many products were becoming more expensive, weaker in use and less efficient per job.
In an industry where professionals often compete on tight margins, chemical cost matters. Every extra pound spent per vehicle affects the business. Yet too often, detailers are sold products that feel like they contain more water than performance.
Modulus was created to challenge that. The goal is simple: build products that solve real problems, offer strong value at sensible dilution ratios and earn their place in the wash process.

Built Different is not just a slogan. It is the way we approach formulation. We deliberately over-engineer products because real-world conditions are not always ideal.
Several Modulus products contain multiple ingredients whose sole purpose is to reduce the effects of hard water. Most users will never read that on a label. Most will never know those ingredients are there. They simply notice that the product works more consistently.
That is the standard we are building around. Not the loudest claim. Not the thickest foam. Not the most aggressive marketing. Just useful chemistry designed to perform.
Why In-House Development Matters
Control allows improvement.
When multiple companies sell the same white-labelled formula with different labels, meaningful improvement becomes difficult. You can change the branding, but you cannot truly control the product.
Developing products ourselves gives us freedom. If a customer tells us a formula performs brilliantly in most areas but struggles with one specific task, we can investigate it, adjust it and improve future batches.
Because we manufacture in smaller batches, improvements can happen quickly. We are not interested in defending old formulas for the sake of it. Every batch is an opportunity to make the product better.
